Ainos at LSTE 2025: at the heart of innovation in Testing & QA
Ainos I 12:52 pm, 12th March
Ainos was present at the Luxembourg Software Testing Event 2025, one of the largest events dedicated to software testing and quality assurance in Luxembourg.
For this edition, Quentin Ostertag, Testing Manager at Ainos, attended alongside Sacha Candat, Sales Manager, and Roberta Souza, Testing & QA Consultant. Together, they took part in a day filled with discussions with the Luxembourg testing community.
Organized by Q-Leap, the event brings together a wide ecosystem of professionals every year : QA Automation Engineers, testers, business representatives, Project Managers, and Product Owners. This diversity allows participants to share perspectives and experiences around the current challenges of software quality.
“A particularly rich and dynamic event”
For Quentin Ostertag, the Luxembourg Software Testing Event remains a key meeting point for professionals in the field.
“LSTE 2025 was an especially rich and dynamic event, bringing together a diverse community around the topic of testing: not only QA Automation Engineers and testers, but also business representatives, Project Managers, and Product Owners.
This diversity created a genuine space for exchange where everyone could present their challenges and compare their perspectives with the solutions proposed by testing companies.”
According to him, this edition particularly highlighted new practices that are concretely transforming the testing discipline, reinforcing its strategic role within digital projects.
AI as the key trend in testing
Among the main themes of the event, the pragmatic and well-controlled integration of artificial intelligence into testing activities clearly stood out.
“The flagship topic of this edition was clearly the pragmatic and well-controlled integration of AI into testing activities. Far from alarmist discourse about replacing testers, the talks showed how AI is becoming a driver of productivity, relevance, and quality.”
The approach presented throughout the event can be summarized in one idea: “AI for the tester, not AI instead of the tester.”
In other words, AI is designed to enhance the capabilities of QA teams rather than replace them.
Concrete AI use cases in testing
Several practical applications of AI were presented during the event.
1. Smarter test prioritization
AI can now analyze code changes, risk levels, and business criticality to automatically prioritize the most relevant testing scenarios.
Instead of systematically executing full test suites, teams can focus their efforts on the areas that are truly impacted.
2. More efficient defect analysis
AI-powered solutions can automatically group similar issues, identify recurring patterns, and suggest investigation paths.
This approach reduces diagnostic time and helps teams identify the most likely root causes more quickly.
3. The evolution of the “Golden Record”
Traditionally, the Golden Record represents the expected behavior of a system.
With AI, it becomes a dynamic reference capable of learning from real user behavior, detecting significant deviations while minimizing false positives.
A tool that stood out: Q-Guard
Among the solutions presented, Q-Guard, developed by Q-Leap, particularly caught the team’s attention.
The tool offers an innovative approach to testing by relying on real user behavior to automatically generate testing scenarios.
Its main capabilities include:
• Automatically re-documenting functionalities, even when formal specifications are missing
• Rapid generation of automated test cases and scripts
• Significant reduction in the time spent on test design and maintenance
• Creation of realistic scenarios based on actual application usage
This approach illustrates a major market trend: leveraging user behavior data and intelligent automation to improve software quality while optimizing the effort required from QA teams.
Concrete opportunities for Ainos and its clients
The insights gained from the Luxembourg Software Testing Event open several opportunities for practical application at Ainos and with its clients.
According to Quentin Ostertag, integrating AI into testing practices could:
• accelerate test case generation and maintenance,
• strengthen risk-based and change-based test prioritization,
• improve defect diagnosis through automated analysis and clustering.
Combined with solutions such as Q-Guard, these approaches could lead to more agile, more relevant testing practices fully aligned with business needs.
A strategic event for Ainos
Participating in the Luxembourg Software Testing Event is strategically important for Ainos.
“For Ainos, participating in an event such as LSTE carries strategic importance. It allows us to stay at the forefront of market practices and showcase our Testing & QA expertise within the Luxembourg ecosystem.”
Beyond technology watch, events like this also help strengthen connections within the Luxembourg tech ecosystem, identify new collaboration opportunities, and further develop the expertise Ainos brings to its clients.
A strong conviction
To conclude, Quentin Ostertag summarized Ainos’ philosophy on testing in one sentence:
“Testing is not a cost: it is an investment in trust, durability, and customer satisfaction.”
