In this Newcomers article, we introduce DealFox, a global deal origination platform for regulated professionals. We had a conversation with Laurent Marliere, CEO of DealFox, who shared insights about the company's origins, unique features, and plans for the future.

1 - Please introduce your company and the products/services it offers.

DealFox is the only global deal origination platform for regulated professionals. It provides a unique and confidential way for trusted advisors to source investment opportunities from around the globe. While also enabling professionals active on the sell side to distribute investment opportunities to more than 45,000 investors.

2 - What led to the creation of your company?

After 30 years of working in consultancy, it became clear that many lawyers and accountants and other M&A professionals had various tools at their disposal, but no platform for deal origination. Using the latest in Al tech we wanted to create a way that investment opportunities could be matched to our database of our existing network of 45,000 investors.

3 - What is the most difficult or unexpected thing you've had to overcome on your journey?

The big challenge is occurring right now! Our tech team is still building our AI matching tool, so early adopters of our solution have to be inspired by the opportunity, with a view to using the tool after our launch in October.

4 - How is your offering different from your competitors and other market players?

The new AI engine will change the way professionals conduct "deal origination", by creating the "Spotify of the Deal". Investors and their clients implement their exact criteria to fill their pipeline with off-market, pre-qualified opportunities.

5 - What did you find at LHoFT and what did LHoFT bring you?

Basing our headquarters in the LHoFT was a key part of our strategy of focusing on the Luxembourg financial sector. We knew that this would be a an excellent place to identify our initial partners and clients for the platform. We are delighted to be alongside so many other inspirational start ups and scale ups, as well as benefitting from the super positivity from the LHoFT team themselves!

6 - What's next?

We are searching for pre launch partners in several key jurisdictions within Europe. As soon as this is achieved we will be focusing on building the business in the USA and Asia.
