LHoFT x The Dots - Interview Newcomers: Armundia Luxembourg

LHoFT I 9:06 am, 9th November

For this week Newcomers article, we met with Paolo Maceratesi, CEO of Armundia Luxembourg, a leading Techfin company within the Armundia Group specializing in Fintech and Insurtech platforms. Paolo Maceratesi unraveled to us the company's journey, future plans, and the transformative power of their framework Armundia 3SIXTY.

1 - Please introduce your company and the products/services it offers.

Armundia Luxembourg is based on Armundia Group’s strength, an international Techfin company that designs and supplies highly innovative Fintech and Insurtech digital platforms and operates as an ICT partner providing consultancy, BPO and outsourcing services for the Digital Transformation of the banking, finance and insurance industry. In the last period, the group has focused on international expansion projects, on the one hand, and on the other, on the launch of the Armundia 3SIXTY platform, a new line of solutions for asset management, wealth management, private banking and bancassurance which allows banks and financial institutions to evolve and support high added value consultancy services and diversified, personalized and sustainability-focused investment solutions. Armundia 3SIXTY is a unique and complete framework, modular and integrated with the main existing core banking systems.

2 - What led to the creation of your company?

Internationalization and constant innovation have characterized the companies of the Armundia Group for years, present in Europe with 4 subsidiaries, 7 offices and over 200 professionals. The Luxembourg market is particularly evolved and mature to welcome new models of technological and digital development and we aim to bring a new vision and a new approach to the territory, based on the sustainability and feasibility of the evolution and modernization processes of the banking, financial and insurance sector. Our presence here strengthens the Group's global positioning strategies, allowing us to actively participate in ongoing development processes and lead important digital transformation projects in the reference markets at an international level.

3 - What is the most difficult or unexpected thing you've had to overcome on your journey?

Nothing special. Initially, it only took time to make the decision to invest significantly in a new international development initiative for the Group. Once unanimous convergence was achieved in accepting this challenge, the positioning strategy in Luxembourg was the natural consequence of the decades of experience gained by Armundia Group on site. From this point of view, Luxembourg is a very receptive market for us, with a high demand potential and open not only to our type of solutions but also to our proactive, 360° vision of technological innovation in the banking and financial sector.

4 - How is your offering different from your competitors and other market players?

Our strengths are the combination of different factors: strategic and specialist know-how, medium-long term vision and flexibility, scalability, sustainability and customization of the solutions offered. We understand that one standard solution does not fit all and that each customer has different needs, strategies, processes and workflows. We therefore work closely with them to ensure constant alignment with their objectives and service models, as well as local market dynamics. This ensures that our customers receive the highest level of service and trust us as highly qualified professionals.

5 - What did you find at LHoFT and what did LHoFT bring you?

The LHoFT is an attractive hub for fintech innovation, with a favorable environment for the development and growth of businesses in the financial sector. From our perspective, it offers a number of key benefits, including support for fintech startups through accelerator programs and access to funding. Thanks to its strategic position, it provides privileged access to European financial markets, facilitated by progressive regulation. The advanced technological infrastructure and international partner network facilitate collaboration and innovation. The LHoFT also offers training, regulatory assistance and investor connections, making it an ideal environment for fintech businesses seeking growth and success. The Founders Club, part of LHoFT, encourages the sharing of experiences between start-up founders, helping to create a collaborative and informed community.

6 - What's next?

In the coming months the Group aims to strengthen investments in Research and Development along three growth lines: technological, regulatory and commercial. We focus on the declination of the offer in foreign market scenarios, on the greater segmentation and distribution capacity of the final target, as well as on scalable and modular architectures. In fact, the Group aims to support the incremental and sustainable innovation strategies of the international banking, finance and insurance industry, enhancing its competitiveness with highly distinctive solutions capable of adapting and integrating fully into existing organizational and operational scenarios. Armundia's product offer and strategies have never been based on a domestic vision of operational processes but on a global approach and we focus on the declination of the offer in foreign market scenarios.
