Alain Herrmann is Commissioner at the Luxembourg National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD), where he oversees the Compliance, Communication and Knowledge, and Artificial Intelligence, Innovation and Technologies divisions. His work focuses on AI governance, responsible innovation and the implementation of European digital regulatory frameworks. He is actively contributing to preparing the CNPD for its responsibilities under the EU AI Act. Before joining the CNPD in 2012, he worked in the private sector in information technology and information security.
