Alexandru-Adrian Tantar is the Group Leader for Trustworthy AI at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology, since 2022. The group’s activities overarch analytics, ML and AI, with applications in Industry 4.0, link to Health, and/or image processing for space observation. He previously led the Business Analytics group (LIST), received a Dr. in Computer Science title from the University of Lille, France, and, in his past roles, interacted with institutions like the IMB/INRIA Bordeaux, CEA (FR), CWI (NL), CINVESTAV-IPN (MX), etc. He co-founded and chaired the EVOLVE International Conference Series, and was an invited speaker for events both in and outside Luxembourg, e.g. Invited Plenary Panel Speaker for "Future of Nanotechnologies, IoT & Smart Wearables," IoT Week, 2017, Geneva, Switzerland, Keynote for the UMons inforTech’Days AI Workshop, 2018, the Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs, 2020, Ethical AI, and for the Horton Conway (Princeton University), Doctor Honoris Causa Awarding.
