Over 14 years ago, she joined the public sector as an official of the EU institutions. She became the first-ever Chief Information Security Officer in the EU institutions, for the Court of Justice of the EU in 2011. More recently, she was Head of Unit about IT and Communication in Commission's Office for Infrastructure in Luxembourg, previously she was deputy Head of Unit of IT Security Operations in DG DIGIT and prior to that she was responsible for Corporate Governance and IT security at the European Commission in Brussels working for the Secretary General and the Cabinets of Commissioners. Her cybersecurity and ICT management professional experience began in the private sector in France.


In DG ITEC Krassi is in charge of defining, running and maintaining the EP-wide governance structure regarding cybersecurity. In her role of Head of Unit for “Cybersecurity policy, standards and guidelines”, she also supports EP teams in implementing security requirements and promoting a cybersecurity by design approach. Krassi is also in charge of the EP's program to raise the awareness of the EP workforce by creating a cybersecurity culture in the organisation.


She has a Masters in computer engineering, a Master in Business Administration and most recently Master in Management of Security of Information Systems.


Throughout her career and continuing studies, Krassi has been a strong advocate for women working in the IT field, and she has been actively supporting girls to choose and develop in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M). Most recently, she was working together with the Luxembourg government to promote digital skills and was visiting speaker in a number of schools and colleges in Luxembourg.
