Tom Goerens has been appointed IT Officer of Spuerkeess in 2023. He’s heading the state savings bank’s IT department in charge of infrastructure, applications, Internet Banking, data, … As a member of the extended management board, he ensures that technology supports the company's strategic decisions and allows coordinated delivery of the bank's various business projects. 

Tom joined Spuerkeess in 1997 and has spent a quarter of a century at various positions in the IT production business unit where he built and influenced the banks technical environments to support the digital evolution.   

Before joining the bank, Tom acted as a systems engineer at the Luxembourg branch of IBM. He holds an MSc in Electrical engineering from the University of Liège.
