Deep-tech pioneer Agora Robotics is set to join Nexus Luxembourg 2025 as an exhibitor in the Romanian Pavilion, organised by the Romania–Luxembourg Business Forum (RomLux), at booth P19, strategically located beside the press area, the startup zone, and the Speakers’ Corner. While the physical “Sweep” robot will remain off-site, visitors can explore detailed presentations, technical datasheets and video demonstrations that showcase its cutting-edge capabilities.
“Sweep”: A State-of-the-Art, EU-Born Autonomous Cleaner
Developed entirely and manufactured within the European Union, Sweep represents a milestone in Romanian deep-tech R&D. Thanks to partnerships with NVIDIA Inception and Swedish design studio Merphi, Agora Robotics’ in-house engineering team has integrated best-in-class AI algorithms, automotive-grade sensors and a rugged stainless-steel chassis.
Sweep is a fully automated cleaning robot designed for use on hard surfaces in extensive facilities, such as warehouses, factories, shopping malls, and airports. This powerful and efficient robot cleans floors using water, detergents, and a brushing action to remove dust, dirt, and stains, then vacuums and dries the surface. Large debris has to be removed prior to Sweep’s mission start.
With advanced technology, Sweep independently maps, navigates, and cleans without requiring any human intervention. Its self-sufficient docking station handles charging and waste disposal, ensuring complete autonomy.

Strategic Objectives in Luxembourg
Agora Robotics arrives at Nexus with three clear goals for the Luxembourg market:
1. Market Evaluation – Determine whether Luxembourg’s pro-innovation, deep-tech ecosystem provides the right conditions to establish a local Agora Robotics subsidiary.
2. Investment Engagement – Connect with regional venture capitalists and angel investors to gauge funding prospects for scaling its robotics platform.
3. Sales Assessment – Identify potential clients and distribution partners interested in deploying autonomous cleaning and navigation solutions within the Grand Duchy.
“Luxembourg’s commitment to technological innovation and its support for deep-tech startups make it an ideal testbed for our expansion,” notes Agora Robotics in its company brief.
Beyond the current Sweep platform, Agora Robotics envisions a modular suite of autonomous systems designed for large-scale logistics and process automation: material transport, inventory monitoring, facility inspection and more. Leveraging its proprietary navigation technology, the company aims to deploy interoperable robot fleets across big-box retail centres, distribution hubs, airports and manufacturing plants.
